This video contains a short snippet of a video game boss that I created in HLSL, including the rift itself, the background, the thorn projectiles that emerge from below, and so on.
A considerable amount of iteration went into the creation of this boss, spanning approximately eight months of work with a team that I lead. This video is simply a short demonstration of the fruits of said work. A more complete video of the boss can be found here.
My contributions to the boss encompassed all of the programming behind the visual effects, the behavior AI, and build-up towards the boss within the game's setting.
